June Treasures

Here's a quick rundown of neighborhood events in June! Note - most of the text below was plagiarized, just so you know. Have fun!

Friday, June 5 - Opening Reception, The Art of Ryan Venys

Saturday, June 6
- Plein Air Day, High Street Gallery
The Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptor's member artists will be working outside painting and drawing in the beautiful and scenic St. Anne's Hill neighborhood. They will be working from 9 am to 4 pm. Residents are encouraged and invited to watch and ask questions. A showing of the works created will be on display during the December Christmas tour. Saturday, June 20
- St Anne's Hill "Trash N' Treasure" Sale
Annual neighborhood-wide yard sale. Plan to browse, eat, drink and enjoy all day. Several neighbors will sell food and beverages. More than 30 garage/yard sales last year, and every year gets bigger!

Saturday, June 27
- South Park "Trash to Treasure" Sale
Neighborhood yard sale begins at 8 am.
Maps will be available at the corner of Wayne and Park.

Sunday, June 28 - Dayton View Triangle Home & Garden Tour
12 to 6 pm. $10. Tour begins at 1810 Harvard Avenue.

Urban Nights

Residents of St. Anne's Hill are lucky to live just minutes from Downtown Dayton. Check out these great events this weekend!

The 36th annual World AFair
When: 5 to 11 p.m. May 15; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 16, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 17.

Presale tickets are available from all Kroger stores, AAA Miami Valley, Siebenthaler Garden Center, La Llama Place in Yellow Springs, the Second Street Market in Dayton and all participating member organizations.

Presale admission is $5 for adults and seniors and $3 for youth (6-18). Door sales are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for youth (6-18). Active military personnel are admitted free of charge.


urban nights: may 15, 2009!
Walk on downtown's creative side!

Get ready to rock at our spring Urban Nights event on Friday, May 15, from 5 to 10 p.m. More than 25,000 people are expected to pack the streets, so come down and join us!

What is Urban Nights?

Businesses and restaurants offer special discounts, artists and galleries open their doors to the public, musicians and entertainers of all kinds perform throughout the center city, and downtown’s most impressive urban living options are open for tours. More than100 creative places and spaces will be a part of the event, including locations throughout downtown, the Oregon Arts District and the Wright-Dunbar Business Village.

BIERFEST! A Celebration of Summer Style Beers

Come enjoy the next edition of the Liederkranz’s highly successful beer tasting parties. Sample some 10 different German and Craft Summer Style Beers in our Authentic Rathskeller. Our Sampling Tour will begin at 7:00 p.m. led by Liederkranz member, Mike Schwartz, beer aficionado, home brewer, and owner of Belmont Party Supply, Dayton’s leading purveyor of fine beers.The Bierfest will include free snacks and door prizes.
